As the rut builds to a climax, the red deer stags turn black. They wallow in peat bogs scented by their own urine, they roar through day and night, and they constantly patrol their hinds, keeping them close and checking for mating opportunities. Moo is now tiring, and other stags including Rannoch are crowding in. Can Moo survive another day?
