Song supremo

Oaks provide perfect cover for all kinds of birds, especially one whose song is considered the most beautiful in the land: the nightingale. The males arrive in early May, a couple of weeks ahead of the females. To claim a territory and then attract a mate they will sing in the daytime as well as at night.
