In a frank interview with BBC's Sue Barker, Billie Jean King talks about her sexuality, life as an activist and advocate for gender equality, LGBT rights and social justice.
Renowned for winning the so called "Battle of the Sexes", after beating Bobby Riggs in a never to be forgotten match, Billie Jean is one of the most successful tennis players of all time. After dominating the game in the 60s and 70s, she led the way in bringing much greater equality for women in sport. In this interview with Sue Barker, recorded just after she received a life time achievement award at the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year, she talks about her sexuality, life as an activist and advocate for gender equality, LGBT rights and social justice.
