Toothless in Mexico
This documentary follows Adan, a dentist working for a charity that provides services to kids living in Mexico City, and Ana who struggles to keep her own daughter's teeth healthy.
With the highest per capita consumption of sweet drinks in the world and a significant dental health education problem amongst its population, Mexico has an increasing number of cases of diabetes and obesity as much as severe tooth decay and early loss of teeth, especially among its children. We followed Adan, a young dentist working for a charity that provides services to children living in impoverished areas of Mexico City, and Ana who recently lost her job and struggles to keep her own daughter's teeth healthy.
