In this second Talking Books Cookery Special, Gavin Esler is in Cannes to interview Michelin star chef Galton Blackiston about his lifelong passion for cooking and the books he writes about his food inspirations and his roots in the East coast of England. Galton's books and signature dishes are inspired by food produced and grown locally for guests at his hotel and Michelin star restaurant. His latest book, Hook Line and Sinker due out in the autumn reflects his preoccupation with fish and seafood. A self-taught chef, he is keen to spread the word on how best to improve as a cook and to celebrate food.
