Over a million refugees have entered Germany in the past three years, more than anywhere else in Europe. What has the effect been on the country and the migrants themselves? For Our World, Catrin Nye spent the last two years following a Syrian, and a German family in Gera, a small city in the former East Germany. With the election now over - and right wing politics gaining a new momentum - she looks at how well these families are adapting to life alongside one another.
