Taiz - Under Siege

Safa Al Ahmad, from BBC Arabic, is one of the few journalists to make it into the besieged city of Taiz at the heart of Yemen's civil war.

Yemen was always one of the poorest nations in the Arab world. But things have gone from bad to worse since the start of an uprising launched by the Houthi rebel group. A Saudi-led coalition has gone to war against the rebels. In the past year, thousands have been killed and the country's basic infrastructure is shattered. Safa Al Ahmad, from BBC Arabic, is one of the few journalists to make it into the besieged city of Taiz at the heart of Yemen's civil war.
