With the increased use of Virtual Reality, binaural sound is becoming more and more important in creating real and immediate experiences. Long story short - it is able to make you feel that sounds are coming from various directions around you - just like they would in real life. They also have a piece on the inclusion of VR in the Tribeca Film Festival and how film-makers are using it to tell new types of storie.
