As a brand new programme for BBC World News, Witness brings you a collection of stories of our times told by the people who were there.
From the British Library in the heart of London, BBC presenter Tanya Beckett introduces us to five films this month, including a Uruguayan footballer who broke Brazilian hearts more than 60 years ago, a man who, as a student, witnessed the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing and a woman from Soweto who helped organise a student protest which rocked the Apartheid government in South Africa.
