As a new law ensuring legal recognition for second, third or even fourth wives, in polygamous marriages, comes into force in Kenya, Yalda Hakim travels to a traditional Maasai village and Nairobi's largest slum, Kibera. There she investigates what life is like for polygamous men and their wives and what difference the new laws will make. Hakim asks MPs why they voted for the new law - and why a clause requiring men to inform their first wife of their intention to marry again was removed at the last minute prompting a walkout by women MPs.
