It’s Judgement Time

Hannah meets a history-making adjudicator and learns how to choose a winner. Plus a concept concert telling the dramatic story of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.

Hannah meets history-making adjudicator, Annie Crookston, who talks about her experience as the first female adjudicator of the British Open Brass Band Championship. Annie tells us how she selects her winners and recommends a piece that has defined her career. Plus a new commission from the Cooperation Band tells the dramatic story of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.

Throughout the series, composer and ex-Youth Bander Hannah Peel plays a mix of inspiring brass music from across the globe, and meets today’s passionate banders as she goes behind their bandrooms.
