BMA Cymru Wales is calling on the Welsh Government to commit to a rescue package for General Practice. 106 GP practices have closed in Wales since 2012, whilst the number of patients per full-time GP has increased by 31%. In their third Save Our Surgeries campaign, the BMA is calling for doctors’ surgeries to receive sustained investment.

Should compulsory religious worship in Welsh schools be scrapped? The Wales Humanists group has called for religious assemblies to be replaced with inclusive gatherings. Currently, collective worship in schools must be mainly of a broadly Christian character. However, schools can also hold assemblies that draw on other faith traditions and worldviews.
