Joe says he’s got home from the mines.

“I was in Africa for 18 months in the mines,” says Joe in Loughinisland. “I was 200 foot below ground. pulling out rocks. These diggers were hundreds of tonnes weight. Six steps to get up into them. That's me retired now, so I'm back with you full time.”
“You were digging?” says Sean. “What for? Were you looking for gold? Diamonds? Or were you just trying to escape?”
