Danny kicks off a match between two teams of bargain hunters skippered by experts Roo Irvine and Caroline Hawley. Which team will be crowned the winners at the auction in Derby?

A football match between British and German troops on Christmas Day in 1914 was one of the most enduring and symbolic moments of the First World War. In this touching episode, Danny Sebastian hears how a young goalkeeper from Newark took part in that iconic match and may have provided the match ball – a gift from his brother back home. Kicking off their hunt for three profitable antiques are friends and aviation engineers Hannah and Shelly, who reckon they will be shopping to the last minute. Their opponents in blue are dad and daughter Paul and Lorraine, who predict that there will be tears if they don’t win. Straight after the whistle, the reds spot a set of military style storage boxes and a collection of sweetheart brooches, but expert Roo Irvine doesn’t think either will woo the bidders. Meanwhile, the blues are reflecting on an antique hand mirror and some mis-matched metal armour, which is going for an arm and a leg. In Derby, auctioneer James Lewis tries to hammer out profits, and for both teams, there are shiny bonus buys to tempt them.
