Maverick Sabre is our Rewind Selector this week, taking us back the dancefloors and records of his youth. Maverick grew up listening to his father's extensive Blues, Folk and Country record collection, and as a teen he immersed himself in Ireland’s burgeoning hip‑hop community as both an MC and producer. He then released his platinum-selling breakthrough album 'Lonely Are The Brave', back in 2012, quickly establishing himself as one of Ireland's most distinctive soul voices of the past decade. He's amassed over 1 billion streams and collaborated with the likes of Jorja Smith, Chronixx, George the Poet and Chase & Status. His new single '8 Stages' explores the emotional cycles of love, growth and acceptance. It marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Irish-born, London-raised singer-songwriter as he returns with one of his most personal bodies of work to date.
