Monty is busy with spring and planning ahead for summer. He’s doing a seed-sowing masterclass, cutting back Cornus and dividing ferns to put in the new Woodland Garden.

With blossom popping and new green shoots emerging across the garden, Monty is busy with spring and planning ahead for summer. He’s doing a seed-sowing masterclass, cutting back Cornus and dividing ferns to put in the new Woodland Garden.

Frances Tophill is exploring the tiny but expansive world of miniature daffodils at a nursery with hundreds of cultivars. In Llanelli, Sue Kent meets a passionate gardener who has set up her own seed library, helping to preserve varieties of flowers and edibles which flourish in local Welsh soil and beyond.

There’s a florist in West Sussex who specialises in sweet peas and a passionate tomato grower from Wiltshire who loves to grow old heirloom varieties that grew before the 1950s and have been gathered from around the world.
