Mark Radcliffe's Choral Odyssey 2

Mark Radcliffe discusses his favourite choral music, including works by Mozart, Ticheli, Barber and Eric Whitacre.

In the second programme of Mark's choral odyssey, we begin with Eric Whitacre's Lux Aurumque, performed by the Eric Whitacre Singers and conducted by the man himself.

We weave through Barber's Agnus Dei, Gorecki's Totus Tuus and Mozart's Dies Irae, and Mark juxtaposes these with more modern uses of choral sound in music such as Talk Talk's I Believe In You, which features the choir of Chelmsford Cathedral.

He rounds off his odyssey with the beautiful piece There Will Be Rest by Frank Ticheli, performed by one of his favourite vocal ensembles, Voces8.
