Communication Frustration
After four years together, couple Lisha and Jenna’s different communication styles mean they are constantly fighting. Can time in the wild help them repair their relationship?
Couple Lisha and Jenna have been together for four years, but their different communication styles mean they are constantly fighting.
Can two days in the Welsh wilderness help them work out the changes they need to make? Or is it the end of the road for this relationship?
Their first task involves one of them balancing on a rope above the river, collecting supply bags from an overhead line and throwing them down to the other – a challenge that relies on teamwork and communication.
They pull together, but when it’s time to set up camp, survival challenges like starting a fire and setting up a shelter lead to snappy exchanges and unkind comments.
Around the campfire, relationship therapist Simone helps them reconnect and understand why they’re stuck in this negative cycle. Lisha reveals her fear of abandonment after the death of her grandmother, and Jenna taps into her more emotional side.
Then, they take on a terrifying forward abseil – forcing them to face their fears head-on. Will they be able to communicate and support each other through it?
