Violinist Tasmin Little talks to soprano Lesley Garrett and John Sherba from the Kronos Quartet about finding new meaning after a performance career.

Lesley speaks about the need for opera composers to write roles for older women and how her children have noticed she becomes withdrawn when she isn’t working.

Violinist John Sherba tells Tasmin how being a musician has meant he is hard-wired as a giving person. He spent 45 years on the road giving performances with the Kronos Quartet, an ensemble celebrated for its cross-genre collaborations. Now, age 70 he has time to give care as a grandfather and discover new music and hobbies.
