Brass virtuoso James Morrison returns with a brand-new series of Top Brass, featuring brass music in all shapes and sizes, from Jazz and Big Band, to Rock and Pop. In this show, James introduces Jazz from top UK trombonist Barnaby Dickinson, trumpeters Jonah Jones and Takuya Kuroda, and the unjustly forgotten jazz euphonium star Betty O’Hara. There are covers of Bon Jovi, ABBA and Ozzy Osbourne from Viera Blech, Brassaranka and Brass Against, plus brilliant new takes on music by John Williams and Chicago from the Mikey Votano Big Band, and Matt Niess and the Capital Bones. Trombonist/vocalist Aubrey Logan performs a big band classic, bandleader and arranger Hugo Montenegro takes on a classical piece by Grieg, and high-note specialist Rashawn Ross joins the Woodstock All Star Band to pay tribute to Horst Fischer.
