Friendship, Love and a Trojan Horse

Kate Molleson and Dr John Purser delve into Erik Chisholm’s friendships, marriage and bold operatic ventures.

Kate Molleson, joined by Dr John Purser, explores Chisholm’s personal and artistic passions - from his marriage to Diana Brodie to his deep friendship with Kaikhosru Sorabji. We hear music inspired by eastern art and Scottish legend, and revisit the audacious moment when Chisholm staged Britain’s first complete performance of Berlioz’s Les Troyens with his amateur operatic society.
