Monty travels beside the busy thoroughfare of one of Europe’s most important rivers, the Rhine, through Germany. He follows the river past major cities, dramatic landscapes, and romantic castles and valleys, before reaching the flatter industrial heartland of the country. He discovers an extraordinary range of gardens along the way - including a park created from disused factories.
