Can a Coin Collection Cash in for Charity?
Bee and JJ help Evelyn clear her parent’s home. But can a cache of coins and a rocking-horse restoration raise the funds for charity that Evelyn dreams of?
It has been a difficult few years for Evelyn. After losing her father to Parkinson’s, her sister was diagnosed with the same degenerative disease. Now her mother has moved into care after an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, leaving Evelyn with a lifetime of family belongings to sort through.
With the items gradually taking over her home, and determined to clear some space, Evelyn has enlisted the help of auctioneer Bee and restorer JJ. Can the team help Evelyn raise money for the charities that supported her and her family through their toughest moments?
Bee sets to work searching for items full of auction potential. In a towel cupboard, she hits the jackpot: a suitcase full of coins collected over many years. But will she be able to turn them into hard cash come auction day? She also discovers a radiogram and a record collection that stir fond memories for music-loving Evelyn.
Meanwhile, JJ faces a challenging task: restoring a much-loved rocking horse that once belonged to Evelyn’s daughter in just one day. Can he bring this show pony back to life in time for the sale? He also turns his attention to a bronze figurine of Hermes and a worn, oak blanket box in need of care.
When auction day arrives, the pressure is on for Bee to raise as much money as possible. Will the rocking horse be off to pastures new? And will the coin collection cash in for charity?
