Alfred Brendel plays Beethoven's 2nd piano concerto

Alfred Brendel performs Beethoven's 2nd Piano Concerto with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Jaedan Isik-Dzurko plays Scriabin & Rachmaninov from Wigmore Hall.

Mark Forrest continues his week of afternoons of specially recorded concert perfomances with exclusive archive recordings of the late, great Alfred Brendel playing the Beethoven piano concertos to mark what would have been the pianist's 95th birthday week. And Mark also casts an ear on the younger generation of international pianists with recent recital recordings by the three Prize winners of the Leeds International Piano Competition 2024. Today the Canadian pianist and First Prize winner Jaedan Isik-Dzurko plays Scriabin and Rachmaninov.
