Violinist Tasmin Little surveys recordings of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante in E flat, K.364 and makes a top recommendation.
Mozart wrote his great Sinfonia Concertante for solo violin and viola in 1779, while on a tour of Europe that included Mannheim and Paris, cities that boasted some of Europe's finest orchestral musicians. Its grand opening movement is followed by an impassioned Andante in C minor, and a fizzing finale.

Top choice:
Augustin Dumay (violin), Veronika Hagen (viola)
Camerata Academica Salzburg
