A live celebration of the First Mass of the Nativity with carols, readings and the traditional blessing of the crib, from the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs in Cambridge.

The church choir and chamber orchestra perform Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C major and the spine-tingling Christmas motet O Magnum Mysterium by Francis Poulenc. Popular carols include O Come All Ye Faithful and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. The mass is led by the rector, the Rt Rev Monsignor Canon Harkness, and the homily is given by Fr Albert Robertson, assistant chaplain at Cambridge University. The organist and director of music is Nigel Kerry. The associate director of music is Sam Barrett.
