Happy Hogmanay!

Helen Mark presents a special Hogmanay edition of Kintra – BBC Radio Ulster’s Ulster-Scots magazine show joined by the entire Kintra team – Rab Lennox, Willie Hill, Jonnie Crawford, Jane Rea and Rebs Lightbody. From the Discover Ulster-Scots Centre in Belfast, there’s music from Joshua Burnside, Lisa Dawson and the Blackthorn Pipers alongside poetry from Robb Morrow. There’s also plenty of chat with friends of the show and numerous Ulster-Scots cohorts – musing about the year that was and what’s coming up in 2026!As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about.
