Episode 10
Tommy receives some terrible news that reminds him to live life to its fullest. Will he manage the biggest physical challenge yet?
Tommy’s childhood friend Chris asks him to do a book reading at the school where they once studied. Tommy faces his nerves and steps up, inspiring students to dream big and believe anything is possible.
Tragedy then strikes with the passing of boxing legend Ricky Hatton - a devastating loss for his friends, family and Manchester. Tommy trained with Ricky for 18 months, and his friend and mentor’s passing reminds him how important it is to live life to the fullest.
Tommy sets out on the most gruelling test of endurance possible: climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours. Battling brutal conditions and exhaustion, he pushes through to finish with only minutes to spare, greeted at the summit by an emotional John.
At Halloween, Tommy and John go pumpkin picking with Bambi, things are back on track with Molly, and the house renovation is almost completed. He reflects on where he was last autumn and everything he’s achieved over the past year, and looks forward to a brighter future.
