Keeping Rural Wales Scam Safe
Expert advice on staying scam-safe in rural Wales, plus a seasonal trip to meet the first grape-growing family bringing sparkle to the Vale of Clwyd.
As part of BBC Scam Safe Week, Country Focus looks at cyber crime and the growing threat that scams pose to rural Welsh businesses. From small family farms to machinery dealers and large veterinary practices, every type of enterprise is at risk, and the consequences can spread through the agricultural sector and even the wider food supply chain.
Ifan Jones Evans is joined by Dr Kerry Beynon from the Technology and Innovation Team at HCR Law, who explains the specific risks facing rural organisations. We also hear from Allan Rush, Cyber Protect Officer at Dyfed Powys Police, who offers clear and practical advice on how to stay protected.
Later in the programme, Megan Williams travels to North Wales to meet the Davies family, the first grape growers bringing a touch of sparkle to the Vale of Clwyd.
