Live from the Dromara Hills in County Down

John Toal introduces seasonal music, features and live music from harpist Rosie Murphy and the Nigel Price Trio from Magy's Farm, a jazz venue nestled in the Co. Down countryside.

Join John Toal at Magy’s Farm, a jazz venue tucked away in the County Down countryside, with stunning views of the Mourne Mountains—an iconic landscape that helped inspire C.S. Lewis’s magical world of Narnia.

We’ll delve into that connection, and also chat with writer Maggie Doyle, who grew up on the farm, as she shares her cherished memories of Christmas and life in the local community.

We’ll also be treated to a performance by harpist Rosie Murphy, a Britten Pears Young Artist from Dundalk, who will play seasonal selections including a movement from Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols. And adding a festive jazz twist, the Nigel Price Organ Trio will join us for more seasonal music.
