Wheeling, Dealing and Horseplay
Phil Serrell and Tahmina Ghaffar tear through the Midlands in their trusty Ford Pop. She’s banking on money boxes, he's cantering after dainty delights, but rusty lumps might be Phil's main hurdle.
At the midpoint of their antiques battle, seasoned auctioneer Phil Serrell and rising star Tahmina Ghaffar are tearing through the Midlands in their mighty, and very noisy, 1959 Ford Popular. With the competition heating up, the pair are on the hunt for hidden gems and quirky curios that could turn heads at auction.
Tahmina swaps horsepower for three squeaky wheels and hopes to coin it in with some vintage money boxes and a surprising history of unionisation. She’s banking on their backstory to boost their value. Meanwhile, Phil is determined to show that he’s more than a one-trick pony as he sets his sights on some more refined antique delights. But old habits die hard, and the lure of big rusty lumps is never far away.
Off the antiques trail, farm boy Phil gets hands-on with the history of equine physiotherapy, learning how horses are treated like athletes in their own right. He even volunteers for pooper scooper duty, proving there’s no job that's too mucky in the name of learning.
With their finds loaded up and spirits high, it’s off to auction. But will their items gallop away to glory or stumble at the first hurdle?
