Paintings expert Alexandra Gill is enchanted by a watercolour by Margaret Tarrant, a celebrated children’s illustrator famous for her depictions of fairies, and militaria expert Mark Smith marvels at a violin which was used as part of an elaborate tunnel escape from a German prisoner-of-war camp, immortalised in the 1950 film The Wooden Horse.

Miscellaneous expert Wayne Colquhoun spots some valuable Beatles autographs sealed with a kiss, and John Foster discovers a complete specimen coin set.
Fiona Bruce meets Gareth Edwards, one of Wales’s greatest rugby players, who has brought along a few treasured items from his illustrious career – pieces that speak not just of sporting glory but of the man behind the medals.
