Brighton-based Welsh instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond choses an hour of music that influences her work... but not in an obvious way.

Gwenifer's latest album Last Night I Heard The Dog Star Bark is a mix of celestial drones, mutant folk and frenetic blues. Drawing influences from Mississippi blues, John Fahey, folk horror and the avant garde, her sound has been dubbed Welsh Primitive.
