Mozart from the BBC SSO and Awards Season

The BBC SSO perform Mozart’s Piano concerto No 24 with legendary pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, and we look ahead to the Ivors Classical Awards.

Mozart is on the menu, courtesy of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performing Mozart’s Piano concerto No 24 with legendary pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra perform Mozart's Violin Concerto No 3 in G Major.

Principal viola player Max Mandel is the first musician in an occasional feature profiling musicians from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra as part of their For the Love of Music campaign.

And we look ahead to the Ivors Classical Awards with nominations for three Scottish composers, Helen Grime, Lucie Treacher and Sir James MacMillan.
