‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.

In this edition of ‘Round Midnight, Soweto welcomes jazz vocal icon Dee Dee Bridgewater as his Friday night guest. Dee Dee is a multi award-winning and Tony award-winning artist, who has forged her path as a formidable jazz singer and as a genre transcending musician. As well as being a pioneering solo artist, Dee Dee has worked with greats including Horace Silver, Max Roach, and Dizzy Gillespie.

In their conversation, Soweto and Dee Dee discuss everything from her current projects, her time performing with the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, and her work as a mentor to some the exciting new voices in jazz.
