Triton Tribute and Bakey in the mix

Martha explores the sound of the Triton synthesiser, and Bakey is in the guest mix.

Martha takes you on a journey through the electronic music spectrum, sharing new releases and iconic tracks that intersect the boundaries of dance music.

In the Deep Frequencies mix, Martha explores the Korg Triton: a synthesiser that helped define the sound of Grime music with its iconic presets. Over in the early 00s in the US, artists like Pharrell and Timbaland were using it to create some of their sounds, while back home in the UK it became synonymous with grime music, being used by producers like Geeneus, Protean, Holloway and many more.

Leeds-based DJ Bakey's debut album just dropped on Warehouse Project Records. His mix explores bass sounds in many forms with tracks from K-LONE, Sam Binga, El-B and many more.
