Aled Jones and the Rev Kate Bottley host the final of BBC Young Chorister of the Year, with judges Gareth Malone, Michelle John and Harry Bradford.

Aled Jones and the Rev Kate Bottley host the final of BBC Young Chorister of the Year from Hallé St Peter’s in Manchester. Three junior choristers aged 11 to 13 and three senior choristers aged 14 to 18 have made it through from the semi-finals. They will each perform in front of an expert panel of judges - Gareth Malone, Michelle John and Harry Bradford. The judges must choose one junior and one senior winner.

The musical choices include Be Thou My Vision by Bob Chilcott, The Lord Bless You and Keep You by John Rutter and Panis Angelicus by César Franck for the juniors, and Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter, Ex Ore Innocentium by John Ireland and Lord of All Hopefulness by Jan Struther for the seniors.

As a finale, all the choristers from the junior and senior heats join Aled Jones to sing a rousing arrangement of How Great Thou Art by Stuart K Hine.
