Best known for her award winning role in 'House of Cards' and much loved movies such as 'Forrest Gump' and 'The Princess Bride', Robin started out as a model aged 14 and has been acting since the early 80s.
Having got her big break aged 18 in the TV soap 'Santa Barbara', her first breakthrough film was 'The Princess Bride', and since then she's been loved by audiences for roles in films like 'Forrest Gump', 'Moneyball', 'Wonder Woman' and 'Blade Runner 1949', and TV shows including 'State Of Play', 'Empire Falls' and her Golden Globe-winning role in 'House Of Cards'.
As a director, she's worked on 'Ozark' and the films 'The Dark Of Night and Land', and now she's directing AND starring in a new project - the psychological thriller 'The Girlfriend'. As well as directing, Robin also plays Laura, a protective mother who is deeply suspicious of her son’s new girlfriend Cherry, played by Olivia Cooke.
