Day 6 of the World Athletics Championships concludes with the finals of the men and women’s 400m and medal chances for Great Britain in both events.

After winning silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Matthew Hudson-Smith is hoping to upgrade to world gold in Tokyo. Meanwhile, in the women’s event, world indoor champion Amber Anning is aiming for an outdoor title to complete the set. 400m hurdles world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is the favourite.
