This week’s Trunk of Funk comes from Si Cheeba, a Manchester-based DJ with a sharp ear for funk, soul, and Latin grooves. He’s one half of Cheeba’s Latin Bros, a project that puts a fresh spin on vintage Latin sounds.
Talcum Time pays tribute to those essential Mod-Jazz cuts, the sharp swinging instrumentals and soulful grooves that filled the floors of clubs like The Twisted Wheel and The Flamingo.
And our 1975 Funk & Soul Gold Album is ‘Total Explosion’ from Syl Johnson.
