There’s growing concern for Malaika, the elderly lioness, whose health has been deteriorating. The keepers and vets decide that their only option is to sedate her to find out what’s been troubling her, but knocking out any animal, especially an elderly one, is a risk. At nearly 20 years old, she now faces a fresh diagnosis, but will they be able to get this wily old girl to take the medication that could help her?

Meanwhile, there’s cause for celebration in Animal Adventure, where red squirrel parents Rory and Pinecone have had a litter of elusive new kittens – Megan checks in with keeper Chris to find out how they’re getting on.

Also, Kate and Ben join forces to help carry out vital health checks on Red, the largest Amur tiger at the park. It’s essential keepers continually assess his fitness and health, but when you’re dealing with a tiger up-close, a quick look inside his enormous mouth doesn’t come without a risk!
