Le Concert Spirituel

Hannah French explores the history and music of Le Concert Spirituel - a hugely popular Parisian concert series which began in 1725 and ran for 65 years until the French Revolution signed its death warrant. The concerts made stars of many composers and performers, including Jean-Marie Leclair, Francois-Joseph Gossec, Michel-Richard DeLalande and Jean-Joseph de Mondonville.
