Jamie MacDougall marks the 150th anniversary of Ravel’s birth with a brand new recording of his ballet Daphnis et Chloé by the Orchestra Philharmonique de Strasbourg, introduced by conductor Aziz Shokhakimov. There’s concert music from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performing Johannes Brahms Violin Concerto in D major. Plus new releases from violinist Nicola Benedetti with the Aurora Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra alongside concert listings and an update on the winners at this year’s Royal Philharmonic Society Award.
