Devon and Northumbria

Jules Hudson and Denise Nurse reminisce over two successful escape stories which took them to opposite ends of England.

In 2023, Jules helped a couple to swap their self-build in a Hampshire town for a whole new adventure down in rural Devon. They had grand plans for a new business, as well as a new home, and Jules pops back to find out how things are coming along with both.

For Denise, proximity to family was the driving force on her 2022 search, as she took her buyers on a road trip across the historic region of Northumbria, hunting for the right rural idyll. Denise found the one, but when she returns 18 months later, she finds their new home bares little resemblance to the house she presented them with.
