“A haw berry laughs at you,” says the Lawn Ranger, “while the sloe berry is always trying to keep up with you.”
“Yes, OK,” Sean says. “You country boys are making fun of us city boys.”
“Haw is from the hawthorn bush,” says the Lawn Ranger. “The sloe is from the sloe bush.”
“OK. But which one of those berries leaves a bitter taste in your mouth? That’s what I was asking! Could you answer that for me please?”
