Terrible things are happening in Dolphin Cove – radical eco-activist Byron Jones is murdered, and DI Mackenzie Clarke is prevailed upon to patrol the local football match.

As Mackenzie desperately looks for a way to wriggle out of her duty, she must also figure out how the victim was killed, given that the suspects were all together chained to a tree. How can Mackenzie crack an uncrackable case when she can’t even find her missing engagement ring?
