His Majesty will be joined in Whitehall by senior members of the royal family and leading UK politicians, alongside the armed forces, representatives of the Commonwealth and faith communities, for the two-minute silence at 11 o’clock and the National Service of Remembrance.

This is followed by wreath laying as the nation remembers all those who have died serving their country. The historic march of nearly 10,000 veterans will take place, and those taking part will share their remarkable stories of courage and sacrifice in live interviews throughout the morning.

Audio-described commentary and commentary-free uninterrupted coverage of the live events at the Cenotaph will be available on BBC iPlayer.
