The Okavango Delta is transformed by the arrival of the flood, bringing new challenges for the big cats. The lion cubs experience water and the danger it brings for the first time.
The annual flood has finally arrived, bringing new prey and new challenges for the big cats. Gordon Buchanan follows the hungry lion mothers as they hunt buffalo, whilst the eldest lion cub, Mathata, learns to avoid this formidable prey.
Anna Dimitriadis tracks Mushi, a skinny young cheetah struggling to catch food in the changing landscape. Brad Bestelink is sure Xudum the leopard is pregnant and looking for a den, but rising flood waters are pushing dangerous male leopards into her territory.
