Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor star in this passionate, tragic love affair set against the backdrop of the fantastical world of Paris nightlife, from film-maker Baz Luhrmann.

When an idealistic poet is drawn into the dark and fantastical underworld of the Parisian nightclub the Moulin Rouge, he finds a seedy, glamorous haven of sex, drugs and electricity. He also finds himself plunged into a passionate love affair with the club's star, who is also the city's most famous courtesan, in this tragic love story from film-maker Baz Luhrmann.
