Tom McKinney showcases the best performances from the UK and beyond, with the Elias Quartet live from Wigmore Hall plus highlights from the Norfolk and Norwich Festival.
Tom McKinney showcases the best performances from the UK and beyond, starting with our Monday visit to Wigmore Hall with a live performance by the Elias Quartet.
Today's Wigmore concert features music by Schubert and Stravinsky, augmented by folk music arrangements – something of a speciality of the Elias Quartet violinist Donald Grant, who comes from the Scottish Highlands and grew up with folk music in his home.
Plus there are highlights from the recent Norfolk and Norwich Festival and a unique performance from Belfast by the Ulster Orchestra.
